Created as part of the Springfield 66: Centennial Sculpture Series, the route connects 16 Route 66-inspired sculptures installed across the city in celebration of the highway’s 100th anniversary and Springfield’s role as its birthplace. Each stop highlights colorful, locally designed artwork that reflects the community’s history, culture and creativity, inviting visitors to experience the legacy of Route 66 through a uniquely Springfield perspective.

How It Works

Getting started is easy. Sign up for the free interactive mobile pass. As you visit each site, check in using GPS through the experience on your phone. While you’re there, scan the QR code at each sculpture to learn more about the artist and the inspiration behind the piece. Explore at your own pace—whether you visit a few stops or complete the full route, each check-in helps you experience more of the story behind the series.
